NO Walk-Ins. All appointments must be booked in advance via Vagaro. It’s just me running a single studio. I do not have a receptionist nor a waiting room. Vagaro will show you all availability, appts are auto-confirmed. I have established very healthy work/school/life balance & boundaries to ensure every client at my studio gets my full, uninterrupted attention & so that I can provide the best service for my first to last client.
Online booking is required & available on the right side of the screen! Appts are auto confirmed, you should receive an immediate confirmation email/text. You will also receive an automatic 24 hour appointment reminder email/text. If you don’t get a charge, confirmation email or text, you are likely not booked correctly = I didn’t get one either, reach out to me! Appointments can be scheduled online up to 18 hours in advance. All must be reserved with a Credit Card or Gift Certificate. You can edit or cancel your appt through a link in the confirmation email up to about 23 hours prior. Generally, payment due after service. CC & a 25% deposit are mandatory to reserve my time. Reoccurring appointments & prepaid memberships are available!
Payments: Cash is always best for small businesses like mine! Venmo or Zelle are next best for me (fee free). Vagaro for deposit & CC payments at the end of a service. No pre-payments (unless otherwise stated) when booking appointments, CC & deposit are required to reserve my time via Vagaro.
Cancellation Policy: 23 hours. Non-emergency cancellations will loose 25% prepaid deposit, may also forfeit of gift certificate/voucher. No Call/No Show will result in 50-100% charge. You must notify me by voice mail, text, or email to avoid any penalties. If you cancel online via Vagaro within 23 hours, the 20% fee is automatic, so if emergency situation, please contact me directly.
Paperwork!!! Intake forms: Click Here
I run my appointments on time, not early nor late. I allow time before your massage for paperwork & consultation. Please wait (or text me) if you are more than 10 minutes ahead of schedule to avoid possibly disturbing another client, as I do not have a waiting room. Please notify me via phone or text, if you are running late.
My studio is located up a couple of stairs. Unfortunately it is not accessible for wheelchair bound clients (contact for potential outcall). Left side of a double, street parking.
Kneaded relief is a place focused on healing & well-being. Zero tolerance for inappropriate or sexual behaviors. This establishment does NOT offer any non-legal massage or relief services & reserves the right to refuse service & charge for a terminated service. You never have to undress more than you are comfortable with for any massage. You will be covered with a sheet & blanket during your entire massage, uncovering only the section of body I am working on. Removing underwear & bra makes it easier to perform long gliding strokes across entire muscle groups, & allows lower back focus. Only dress down only to your comfort level, being nude on the table is preferred. I always practice legal & professional draping techniques. I can remove the blanket (leaving the sheet) & expose back & feet/ legs up to knee level, further requests will be viewed as inappropriate behavior.
Gift certificates reduce 50% value yearly (fully expire in 3 years). No refunds after 7 days. Recipient transfers are welcome. Available in studio, online via Venmo, Zelle, or Vagaro. To purchase online: see Massage Menu for selection & pricing info, click the Vagaro link (or text me), enter the amount you want your gift to be or select a service. Vagaro is a bit not-smart here unfortunately. I recommend doing a custom $$ amount instead of selecting service as the add-ons are not available {correctly} for these purchases!! You’ll complete comments & recipients in the purchasing process! On some devices, the theme & design selection comes up first & may appear to take you out of my menu, it didn’t, just keep going forward 🙂 If you purchase via Venmo or Zelle, I will generate a GC within Vagaro!
Out calls are very very unlikely & only available to established clients. Certain services cannot be done as an out calls, like hot stone. Discounts & coupons do not apply to out call services. A clear 6ft x 8ft area will be needed to set up the massage table. Your name, phone number & address will be shared with a personal contact of mine for security purposes.
Massage Therapy should never be substituted for a doctor visit. A massage therapist cannot treat, prescribe or diagnose injuries or illnesses. Clients are required to fill out a short medical history prior to service. All information is strictly confidential. There are various conditions where massages are contraindicated (not recommended) or may need physician pre-approval.
I can & do treat insurance cases & can bill a lawyer or some insurance companies directly. You generally need a prescription by a chiropractor or doctor. I can not yet accept medical insurance; I have tried but it’s so much red tape. If your insurance covers massages you should contact your insurance company; I can provide receipts & notes. 2024: revisiting getting added to insurance lists!
Pregnancy massages are available, just book my basic massage. I have comfortable belly pillow or can perform them in a side lying position if you are unable to lie face down. They should NOT be done in your first trimester nor if you have any complications without Dr approval.
For mind & body maintenance, I recommend getting a full body massage about once a month. If you have dysfunction/issues that you want to work out, long periods of time without massage or an injury you want to overcome, then weekly or bi-weekly may be necessary for about 3-5 weeks/sessions for best results. I often compare massage to going to a gym. Go once & you’ll feel it but it’s not long term effective & you’re unlikely to have lasting results. I feel regular massage is far more effective than a few rough sessions. My massage style is “work it out, not force it out”. I have found this method more effective, longer lasting & definitely more enjoyable/relaxing, during & after, in my 10+ years of practice. If you’re a “force it out” massage person, book a neuromuscular therapy session!
Gratuity & Discounts: “Tips are appreciated, re-booking is better” is my personal motto. My prices are fair & cover what I need. Typical tips are around 10-20%, they are appreciated, but not required! You coming back &/ referring friends is by far the best compliment/tip! I also give referral credits, rebooking discounts & -$1 per active year as a client! Sliding scale case by case, just ask! -$10 Discount for Military, teachers, first responders & service workers!
