Covid-19 Precautions at Kneaded Relief

I will always err towards “better safe than sorry”. No cancellation fee if possible exposure!! Just text me please! I’d much prefer we reschedule and achieve better relaxation later than worry now!

IF exposure occurs or test positive within 14 days of your service; you should let me know &/ I will let you know!!

March/April 2021: Pfiser x2 vaccinations received.

Oct 2021 update: Booster shot received Oct 11, 2021

Nov 2022 update: Covid & flu: Sept 30, 2022

I have relaxed my mask requirements. I want to add that I am taking some in person classes; so my exposure risk is always increased these days. I still frequently wear my mask when you are face up on my table. I generally am not wearing my mask when alone in the studio or when you’re face down. My set up still provides a socially distanced intake area and my hepa filter is always on (and as close as possible) when studio is in use.

VACCINATIONS do not prevent transmission. They DO give your body the blueprints to more successfully identify and destroy a viral infection. They DO reduce severity of symptoms. They CAN create herd immunity which can eliminate the threat of virus outbreaks to the general population. THEY DO NOT CAUSE AUTISM!!! (This has thoroughly been disproved by significant science!)

I now accept Venmo and Zelle and encourage it for several reasons. 1, they’re touch free transactions and 2, they’re transaction fee free! I still have my credit card swipe and always accept cash.

OLDER INFOS:

Dec 2021-Jan 2022 Update: Masks On. vaccination, proof of antibody or negative tests REQUIRED!! If you have been exposed to someone who tested positive within the last 7 days, I ask that you Cancel or do NOT book until you test negative or wait 7 days. I will be masked while you are here, I do remove mine when alone. Hopefully this wave will pass quickly and safely!! Mask up, vac up, & stay safe!

Masks will be worn when in my studio. They should/can be removed when on the massage table. When face down, your nose and mouth are contained, if you turn your head to the side, you will need a cover. I have modified my eye cover to loosely cover the nose and mouth while you’re face up on my table. I will be wearing a mask during your entire massage*. I am no longer able to provide outcalls nor detailed facial massages, especially around the nose and mouth as I can not remove the cover to access these areas. I am willing to perform facial massages for headache/migraine/sinus sufferers who have also received full vaccinations (and are past their effigy date; proof IS required!).

AS OF April 2, 2021 I have received my 2nd dose of the Pfizer vaccination. (It takes an additional 14 days for full effigy). I will still be wearing a mask during massages for the foreseeable future, until herd immunity is agreed upon by the CDC. I ask that you do the same. I do frequently remove my mask when alone in the studio for extended periods. I intend to get the boosters as soon as they are available in the 8-10 months suggested time frame.

If you refuse to wear a mask for other reasons, I do not believe I am the right massage therapist for you and you should not book with me. If you have any medical reasons for not wearing a mask, please discuss with me prior to booking.

If you test positive for Covid within 14 days after your massage, you must please notify me immediately. I will get tested and phone/text everyone that may have been exposed. It is generally never a good idea to have a massage if you feel sick or feverish.

Between all appointments I wipe down every hard surface (shelf, clothes hooks, pens, doors, bathroom etc) that a client has contacted and spray the face cradle area with Lysol after removing all covers. I have several extra blankets, chair covers and shirts to change between every client to ensure no cross contact on all other soft surfaces. Many all other standard cleanliness precautions such as hand washing before and after are already in place. HEPA filter is on on at all times while studio is in use. I have altered my intake area to create a 6 foot distance between us, separated by a fan (blowing towards my hepa filter!).

I firmly believe if we are all just a little extra conscious and work together and care a bit extra about each other’s safety, as well as our own, that we can greatly reduce the spread and severity of Covid-19.
